I wanted to be in touch this month to say Thank You! We are extremely grateful for your generous support during these past few months. Your gifts, which have included financial contributions, donations of PPE, food, and so many acts of kindness for our front-line staff who have worked so hard during these past months have meant a lot. These expressions have touched our hearts and helped make these stressful times, a little bit more palatable. Although COVID-19 has kept us apart, your kindness has brought us together.

So much has happened since the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. As an organization, we’ve learned to adapt and change processes as necessary and in rapid time. As caregivers, we’ve learned to find ways to keep ourselves and our clients healthy and engaged. As citizens, we’ve learned to look for the good in everyone and help each other along the way. As the crisis continues to evolve, we will continue to adapt to ensure that we keep everyone as safe as possible.

Over the past few weeks of demonstrations, we have also had the chance to reflect on what it truly means to be inclusive. We will continue to make sure everyone we serve feels welcome, safe, embraced and cared for, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, religion, class or ability.

As the province starts to open up, lets continue in the same spirit. Wear your masks, wash your hands often, keep 6 feet apart and be kind to one another. All of it helps us maintain our quality of life.

Thank you again! Have a wonderful summer!
