MEMO TO: ALL FAMILY MEMBERS, FRIENDS AND VISITORS

FROM: SHIRLEY CASSEL

ATTENTION

As directed by the Chief Medical Officer of Health, the Home is now closed to visitors, volunteers, interpreters, community workers and others who visit the Home, effective immediately.

As you are aware, we are in a global COVID-19 pandemic.

COVID-19 is an aggressive viral infection that is highly contagious.

There is an increased risk of more severe outcomes for Canadians:

  • aged 65 and over
  • with compromised immune systems and/or
  • with underlying medical conditions

Unfortunately, our residents fall into at least one of these high-risk categories.

I want to assure you that the residents care and safety is our highest priority.  We will continue to contact you if your loved one becomes ill.

If you want to keep in touch with your loved one by phone or other technology, please make arrangements with Amy (705-719-6700 Ext. 309) during regular business hours.

Thank you for your cooperation with this new direction.

Sincerely,

Shirley Cassel, Administrator
Bob Rumball Home for the Deaf
