Open for Business!
The Range Driving Range and Golf Centre is a new addition to the programs offered by the Bob Rumball Associations for the Deaf. Located on BRAD’s property in Milton, the Range is nestled at the foothills of the Niagara Escarpment.
The Range hosted its Grand Opening on June 21st with dignitaries from Provincial, Regional and Municipal governments. The opening hosted a grand opening ceremony, complete with ribbon cutting, a lunch time barbeque, free use of the driving range for the event and was completed with door prizes handmade by our clients. Both Mayor Bonnette (Halton Hills) and Mayor Krantz (Milton) enthusiastically assisted the Range staff in cutting the ribbon and welcomed the Range as a new social enterprise to their communities.   During the opening ceremonies Karen Chambers, Executive Director of BRAD was quoted; “This is a one-of-a-kind working environment that provides a unique opportunity for the residents and clients of the BRAD, while providing a sense of responsibility and self-worth that ultimately makes a significant contribution to our community.” Everyone wholeheartedly agreed.

TheRange is a beautiful new driving range with all of the amenities but, with some very special additions... The majority of the staff employed at The Range is clients and residents of the BRAD! Various job responsibilities include: maintenance of the grounds around the clubhouse, tee decks, and putting and chipping greens; picking up balls; serving customers; and stocking the shelves inside the clubhouse.
Stan Smith , Brad’s Golf Program Director stated: “The BRAD staff take great pride in their work, they come to work ready and excited and they are all wanting to learn new things. I believe that some have even surprised themselves on what they’re capable of accomplishing. They are all doing a fantastic job! Numerous customers have been commenting on all the new improvements, how good the grounds are looking, and how polite, helpful and courteous the staff are. This is the result of the hard work of our dedicated staff.”

Any profits generated from The Range will be used to augment services delivered to clients of the Bob Rumball Associations for the Deaf as we continue to build better futures for Deaf, Deafblind and Hard of Hearing children and adults with additional special needs

Not only does The Range provide a great work environment for the clients and residents, but The Range will offer you a challenging and competitive day of practice!
