It is the mission of the Bob Rumball Home for the Deaf to merge exceptional long-term care with the language and culture of Deaf seniors resulting in a communication-rich environment that enhances the quality of life of each resident.
The Bob Rumball Home for the Deaf has been uniquely designed to accommodate the needs of those who have sensory losses. Diffused lighting, spacious hallways, and staff that communicate in American Sign Language enrich the lives of our seniors. Supporting resident’s independence, sense of belonging, dignity and individuality encourage our seniors to participate in activities of daily living and the innovative programs and services that the Home offers.
Residents come from across the province of Ontario and often include those who suffer from dementia, have mental health issues and or functional disabilities.
Providing confidence to families that their loved ones will be treated with compassion and respect in a home-like environment is our priority.
