The Bob Rumball Foundation for the Deaf
The Bob Rumball Foundation for the Deaf supports the Deaf by providing funding for activities, services and programs to further the quality of life of Deaf people in Ontario through the work of its four associated organizations: The Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf in Toronto, The Bob Rumball Associations for the Deaf in Milton, The Bob Rumball Long Term Care Home for the Deaf in Barrie and The Bob Rumball Camp for the Deaf in Parry Sound.
You Can Make a Difference!
Organize a fundraising event for the Bob Rumball Foundation for the Deaf! Together we can change, enrich and inspire lives!
Your event choices are endless. Let your imagination run wild! Here are some examples of great fundraising ideas!

  • Have your staff or co-workers pay a fee to participate in “Deaf for a Day”. No voice – hand gestures only. Raise money for BRFD and experience a day in the life of a Deaf individual.
  • Plant a Tree of Hope: Ask a tree nursery to donate young saplings. Sell the saplings to your staff, friends or neighbours. They can bring the saplings home and watch their Tree of Hope grow! Think Green!
  • Dress-down/civvies day: Fridays is the best day to wear casual clothes! Charge staff members who want to participate.
  • Invite Management to a Noodle Hockey Face-Off! Host this event in our large gym – and you can use our gym for free! (Call to discuss availability). Invite co-workers/spectators to join in the fun (for a small donation of course!).
  • Euchre tournament, backyard BBQ, neighbourhood block party, bake, book, or garage sale. The ideas are endless!
  • Galas, golf-tournaments, walk-a-thons, or possibly a seasonal event.
