The Bob Rumball Foundation for the Deaf
The Bob Rumball Foundation for the Deaf supports the Deaf by providing funding for activities, services and programs to further the quality of life of Deaf people in Ontario through the work of its four associated organizations: The Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf in Toronto, The Bob Rumball Associations for the Deaf in Milton, The Bob Rumball Long Term Care Home for the Deaf in Barrie and The Bob Rumball Camp for the Deaf in Parry Sound.
Special Projects
Aside from general and program-specific donations, The Bob Rumball Foundation for the Deaf has a number of ongoing campaigns which seek to accomplish very specific goals. Any contribution is appreciated.
Waterpark Fund – The Ontario Camp of the Deaf welcomes many campers with limited mobility every year. Although we involve these campers in as many activities as possible, water sports like swimming, diving and waterskiing are often impossible for them. This is why we aim to install a new wheel-chair accessible waterpark and splash pad, so these campers can move their bodies in new ways, enjoy the outdoors and cool off on hot summer days.
Bob Rumball Long Term Care Home for the Deaf Seniors Courtyard Garden Beautification Project – Our Home in Barrie wants to transform their courtyard into a relaxing space for our seniors to experience the outdoors in a comfortable setting, relax, breath fresh air and take part in light recreational gardening. The courtyard space is large, and the beautification will not be a small project, but we are committed to making this change to enhance our seniors' quality of life.
